A medic named Dr. Bill Matthews (Derek Long) gets struck by lightning and recovers in a hospital where he works in which he is introduced by Craig Murphy (Matthew Montgomery) where he brings him to a club lead by Mike (Sean Abley) who have the same incidents happen to them and discovers some bizarre incidents while having this group therapy.
Bill discovers that he has an electrical socket in his wrist along with having a steamy relationship with Craig as he discovers that he needs a fix on electricity to keep sane but whenever any electircity is used up he seems to feed his hunger on locals or even patients at his hospital.
He even starts seeing hallucinations due to all of this and starts to go crazy. But he is faced to realise on what he is doing in which he has to decide on what to do to keep others safe from being around him.

The flick starts off quite strangely and seems to be a straight forward gay sci-fi flick as it does show some nice moments with how the character's Bill Matthews and Craig Murphy meet as well as their steamy relationship which is a nice touch for the gay market showing equal rights to watch the same sex getting it on along with showing male nudity instead of the female all the time.
Plus it's nice to see a lesbian couple as well as the gay couple hanging out and shooting the shit with sarcastic manners as well as them getting witty one another. Plus interesting moments with them going to a gay bar together and so much fun that they have as well as discovering what they have by putting themselves into a socket to get a charge. It just seems to be overly long with all of this and almost not getting to the point.
Yet it picks up when Bill is introduced to a club lead by the character Mike in which the settings seems like almost a cult type of event as they hug instead of shaking hands along with doing a cenermony by holding hands and getting a fuse showing really brief clips on flashbacks on what had happened before as this could psych you out a bit and cleverly written in too.
The murders start to kick in eventually which had me more convinced to the horror apart from the sci-fi like when Bill starts obsessing to go out late at night while his lover is sleeping to get his fix on energy sucking the life out of anyone on the street which includes a mugger which was well put in and a good excuse to have him die for his nasty deeds. Heck there's a female prostitute trying to pick him up in which he accepts and right away you know what's going to happen to her since we all know what his sexual preferences are as this added a nice plus to the plotlines here.
There's also a moment when he's doing surgery and this seemed intense and later on tempting to do something terrible to this patient when no one is in the room. There's more creepy looking flashback sequences as well as grizzly looking results to this patient drawing more of the horror in here for sure which looked fairly artsy.
There's some good hallucinations with one of the people at the group striking out almost looking zombielike which was supposed to make you jump but this fails. Yet a perfect horror to the scene at the same time. Plus seeing people that he killed to get his fix which are really his friends surrounding him as this looked pretty twisted but in a perfect fashion.
Plus there's many moments when Bill isn't exactly the same and charming person like he used to be towards Craig in which this certainly shows a sign that he might start to get obnoxious in time adding psychological elements to the story as this seemed impressively put in. He does get emotionally crazy by crying or losing his mind wanting more surges to keep his appetite up to stay sane in which the story focuses very well on him being like this.
The story does get a bit disturbing adding more psychological elements used here as Bill gets nasty and demanding towards Craig forcing him to leave the house and stay out of his life in which makes you wonder if he will do something even more crazier that will cause some psysical harm here.
Then there's a moment when Olivia is in the hospital in which she's close to her death bed as this is a good peer pressuring moment if he will take her life or not since he needs a fix really bad but the intense emotional moments were there as this was a great powerful scene and well written too.
It touching and emotional too when he tells Jill on what happened to her lover making the plot seem quite effective.
There's good effects during close to the ending when Bill is trying to put an end to his madness by causing deaths to other people which I won't spoil it here but the scene's had alot of action with a good punch to it along with Craig trying to talk to him but yet there's good tense moments with all of this which was also impressive too.
Bottom line is this film proves to be a horror too but just making it to that level along with the sci-fi chemistry too. Not a scary film by any means and this almost seems like a take on a sort of succubus type of character whenever he needs his fix as well as using a bit of elements to a 1990 cult horror flick Soultaker.

Although the story is a bit rough it is well shot with a good clear picture in every take along with the odd interesting special effects here and there which isn't easy to do while making an independent film. A nice pat on the back to Sean Abley for putting his effort into making this film.

The acting seemed to be well performed in which Derek Long (Bill Matthews) really brought a great masculine type of personality into the story with a good deep voice as well as having a nice seriousness to his role. He also does a great job acting excited and anxious during the moments when he needs energy to whatever he does getting electrical charges. He also shows great aggressions as well as behaving emotionally in which he was believeable by doing all of this proving himself to be a worthy character actor.
Matthew Montgomery (Craig Murphy) really brought a good anxious type of behavior as well as acting bubbly and flirtatious too. He brings out a good amount of energy into everything that he does into this film and shows some good pizazz. He really gets into what he does as well and seemed to study this character fairly well too.
Alexandra Billings (Dr. Emily Anderson) truly lived to play a female doctor in which she really shows a good aggressive seriousness when it comes to a problem and getting into the full swing on all of this. She stood out incredibly well with all that she did and had the perfect looks for this character too as this was a real bonus. She shows alot of high pitched energy into what she did making out that she really has experience within the role she played.
Rasool J'Han (Jill Roberts) shows a nice calm like attitude showing a nice sense of humor too in her role which you could tell that she had fun playing around with her role and certainly brings off a nice charm too. Plus she shows great energy into her hysterical crying when a terrible incident happens which was also impressive.

Alley Rivenbark (Olivia) as her lover definetely shows off a nice butch and tough woman to her personality and really driving with it as well as showing a good attitude and sarcasm with her words really fitting her part well. She was a good actress by doing all of this and can be a real attention grabber to viewers watching this film that she pulls it off quite well.
Sean Abley (Mike) definetely drew a nice mysterious type in his effective supporting role to the screen as he brings a great peaceful calmness to when he speaks or anything thaAt he does. He was for sure an effective character actor and a nice key to the story apart from writing and directing this flick. He certainly knew what he was doing for portraying this type of role without a doubt and hats off to this guy.

Many nude scene's involving both actors Derek Long and Matthew Montgomery with butt shots on them fornicating or revealing their cocks while undressing or lying down in bed.

There's some bloodied bodies as well as open corpses revealed in a surgery room

Sean Abley seems to show some intereasting style with his work on everyone. There's many natural dialogues between Derek Long and Matthew Montgomery having intimate discussions between one another in which they seem to really get into what they're talking about.
Abley shows some good camera work between both actors Long and Montgomery looking up and down on them when they have a lustful scene together as well as them acting really energetic and getting into it which seemed impressive.
Abley also shows good discussions with supporting actress' Rasool J'Han and Alley Rivenbark acting sarcastic towards both
Long and Montgomery as this looked like a very realistic moment with friends hanging out which is another good pointer on Abley's work with these four.
Abley does well directing himself hosting his club towards Long and Montgomery in which he comes across as very mysterious as well as great circling camera shots on them and the supporting cast having a discussion on what's going on which looked more mysterious and was very still during this moment. Plus nice reactions on them holding hands and reacting to a fuse with one another.
Long does a nice job acting hyper whenever he outs his wrist to a fuse in which he shows great hyperactive energy to all of this.
There's a moment with bit part actor
Timothy J. Hearl trying to mug Long in which Abley needed to pick it up just a little bit as it didin't seem overly convincing or aggressive like it was supposed to be but yet Hearl reacts well when he gets electrocuted shaking with good wide eyed expressions.
Long does a good job sweating and panicking while in a surgery room with good camera shots looking up on him while performing surgery in which this moment definetely looked powerfully directed.
Long reacts well getting emotional when feeling the need for something which looked energetically done with a good camera shot looking up on him.
There's a good moment with bit part actor Tony Spatafora lying ina corner as a homeless person in which he does well with his gruff and grouchy attitude along with a good calm moment on Long talking to him and then a nice fast movement on him attacking him as well as a good reaction on him feeling fully charged.
Long shows alot of great energy in an emergency room getting demanding and aggressive as well as good serious and anxious moments on Alexandra Billings. Long also does well getting emotional in the end of this scene which looked powerfully done too.

There's a good moment with Mongomery acting flirtatious and Long reacting seriously and blunt as Abley directed good timing on these two.
Montgomery does well expressing by being upset with a nice shot on Long lying in bed acting quiet and serious with this.

Long does a good job acting intense and aggressive towards Montgomery as well as nice blocking moments on him being forceful with a good threatening attitude as well as a nice shocking reaction on Montgomery.
J'Han does a great job running towards Long and crying hysterically towards him which looekd terrifically intense and very believeable.
A nice camera shot looking up on Long sobbing in a surgery room showing nice forceful actions on what he's doing as Abley really focused well on coaching him with all of this.
A nice emotional embracing between Long and J'Han sobbing together.
There's great dynamic energy with Long running towards a power generator getting excitied as well as nice blocking moment with Montgomery trying to communicate with him. Plus there's some blocking with Long punching him in which this looked slightly off but not terrible.

Jennifer Kes Remington gives the movie a nice feel with sounds from a synthesizer as well as having good smooth orchestral playing with those types of effects that she used for the strange moments in the story. There's also some good beats to the other parts in the film too.

Craig Murphy: Bill, don't.
Bill Matthews: [punches Craig] I'll see you again
[climbs fence into High Voltage area]
Craig Murphy: Bill... wait. Bill, wait!
