Richard Thomas (Greg Russell Tiderington) rents a room from Mrs. Baker (Jacquollyne Keith). As he is being shown the accommodations Mrs. Baker instructs him not to go in “that room” pointing to a closed door. After working for a bit Richard heads downstairs and as he is passing “the forbidden room” he sees fingers protruding from beneath the door. Curiosity overrides any and all warnings. Inside are heaped corpses…as well as something else lurking in the shadows. It seems Mrs. Baker has a very busy rooming house indeed…with a rather brisk turnover.

Intriguingly, the film itself seems set at a slightly faster speed than normal, giving the entire movie an unsettling quality from the very start. The eerie Room for Rent is obviously the work of talented folk and begs for MORE! An extended version of this concept would be most worthwhile and welcome. Well done.

It is quite crisply lit and photographed and boasts fine performances by the two leads.

This featurette is tightly scripted and directed.
