Brian:
Who were your first performing inspirations -
Vampira wrapping her magical arms across the
silver screen - Abbott and Costello greeting the
Universal Monsters on their home turf - Suzanne
Somers making the acquaintance of a pack of
deadly ants on late night 70's television?Bianca: Of
course, horror was an enormous influence on me
growing up. As a teen, I was always inspired by
the actors in independent films. I admired and
respected the people I saw on IFC and I wanted to
become an actress who was smart and different but
still got paying roles in movies. I would love to
be in a film go to Sundance and Cannes one day!
Brian:
What was the process like in being morphed into a
ravenous tree demon for 'Canes'
- aka 'Covenant: Brotherhood of Evil'?
Also - did you find you were able to work out any
childhood anger issues by devouring Edward
Furlong in this deadly, dark arts flick?
Bianca:
I met some really great people working on that
film. It was a very long and grueling day and
getting all of that makeup off my face and body
took HOURS. Shooting the actual scene was very
quick and it was my first experience working on a
higher budget film wearing extensive prosthetics.
Sadly, the scene isn't really shown in the movie
for very long. It's sad that all of the hard work
everyone put into creating the special effects
ended up on the cutting room floor. That seems to
happen a lot to me!
Brian:
What exactly does it take to become 'The
Devil's Muse' ?
Bianca: Lying
topless in the grass at a local dog park with a
dark wig and a "sliced open" face. I'm
sure my mother is very proud. I did meet special
effects artist and director Jason Barnett that
day and my professional and personal life changed
for the better!
Brian:
How was the scenario for your recent short 'Bunny
Cupcakes' achieved?
Bianca; Nearly
every aspect was created by Jason Barnett since
it was his vision. It started with the special FX
makeup which he designed and sculpted in advance.
He wrote the script, drew storyboards, created
the set, directed, produced and edited the entire
thing! Basically, I just created the look of my
character and acted in it. We filmed it at his
studio, Industrial Monsters & Props.
Brian:
Can you tell us about working on 'Monster
Mountain'? What was the experience like?
Bianca; Hmmm...It
was not very pleasant and I hope the film never
sees the light of day. Actually, I feel that way
about a few things I've been in. :)
Brian: Were
you able to get more in touch with your wild side
while playing Pig Bitch in 'Albino Farm'?
Or - did it have the opposite effect and you
found yourself growing strangely calm and sleepy?
Bianca:
I've always been in touch with my wild side, I
think that's what has gotten me in trouble most
of my life. For some performers, it's easy to cry
and be vulnerable, but for me it's most fun and
natural to be violent, murderous, loud and angry.
I suppose it's my inner Goth teenager that's
dying to get out. What's funny is that I'm
actually quite polite and even shy if you just
meet me in person.
Brian: How
did you develop your clever (and deadly sexy)
cheerleader character?
Bianca: Thank
you for noticing and appreciating the need for an
evil, sexy cheerleader! The costume was actually
provided by Cameron from the 'EVIL
LEGION'. They are an awesome promotional
company and I look forward to shooting more and
collaborating with them..
Brian: What
is your favorite way to spend Halloween?
Bianca:
Last year I was filming additional scenes for
'Albino Farm', so that was a wicked
Halloween being in full Pig Bitch gear! This year
was fantastic because 'Bunny Time
Cupcakes' played on CHILLER TV since it
won a second place prize in their Dare 2 Direct
contest! Jason and I carved some really great
pumpkins, watched horror movies and I baked an
apple spice cake (I love homemaking!). Ideally
when I am a financially secure more known
actress, I'd love to decorate my house for a
really spooky shindig, watch scary movies with my
honey and hand out goodies to all the little
trick or treaters!
Brian:
Lastly, any words of advice (IE: Never let a
fading child star get the last bark \endash
especially if you're the monster) or future
projects that you'd like to tell us about? And
thanks - this was better than being led into a
touchdown by a Gothic beast!
Bianca: I've
got quite a lot of work lined up but I don't want
to jinx it! I can say that 'Albino Farm' will
finally be released in early 2009 if all goes
well. 'Bunny Time Cupcakes' will
also be available early next year. I am filming
two more feature length horror pictures this
month, so please check out my website to get the
update on that! It's going through a major
revamp, but the shop is still open with lots of
ghoulish merchandise like signed 8x10s and more!
Thank you all so much, I wouldn't be doing this
without your love and support!
